Hi, I’m Cassie!
I’m a writer and cartoonist with a passion for comedy and animation. I’ve written for Disney Junior’s Puppy Dog Pals, Bugs Bunny Builders at WB, Wondery’s Little Stories Everywhere podcast, and other upcoming things I can’t talk about yet!
I studied animation and screenwriting at Columbia College Chicago, as well as improv and sketch comedy at the Second City and Annoyance. I was also selected for the Second City Directing Program in Hollywood. In 2019, my one-act feminist dark comedy about office politics premiered at the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
My humor writing and cartoons have been featured online in places like The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, The Belladonna, Weekly Humorist, Greener Pastures Magazine, among others.
I co-host the podcast Ink and Paint Folk which celebrates women and non-binary folks working in the animation industry and co-produced Hello Stop Mo! which is an educational limited series about the stop motion animation industry.
Originally from rural Southern Illinois, I traded farm life and my tornado survival kit for a wild fire and earthquake kit to live in Burbank, CA.
I love road trips and the ocean, and especially road trips that lead to the ocean.
